Mary Robinette Kowal

I am the 2008 recipient of the Campbell Award for Best New Writer. I've sold short fiction to Strange Horizons, Cosmos and Asimov’s. My first novel, Shades of Milk and Honey, is coming out from Tor in the spring of 2010. A professional puppeteer and voice actor, I live in NYC with my husband Rob and nine manual typewriters.

I performed for LazyTown (CBS), the Center for Puppetry Arts, Jim Henson Pictures and founded Other Hand Productions. My design work has garnered two UNIMA-USA Citations of Excellence, the highest award an American puppeteer can achieve.
